THE COLLEGE JUMPSTART SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: The College JumpStart Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition that is open to 10th-12th graders, college students and non-traditional students. The main requirement is that you are committed to going to school and can express your goals for getting a higher education. The first place prize is a $1,000 scholarship to help cover educational expenses. This award can be used at any college or university in the United States. HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION: The Horatio Alger Scholarship program provides financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial nee and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. The scholarships are given to deserving students each year and range in award value from $6000 to $25000. Eligibility cirteria includes: high scool graduation in the spring/summer, demonstrated financial need ($55,000 or lower AGI), and United States citizenship. THE PRUDENTIAL SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY AWARD PROGRAM: The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program was created to honor middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state, and national level. The program's goals are to applaud young people who already are making a positive difference in their towns and neighborhoods, and to inspire others to think about how they might contribute to their communities. ALLEGRA FORD THOMAS SCHOLARSHIP: The Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship is a one-time $2,500 scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability (LD) and/or ADHD who will be enrolled in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with LD and/or ADHD in the fall. ANNE FORD SCHOLARSHIP: The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year over four years) granted to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability (LD) and/or ADHD who will be enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program in the fall. IPLSA STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD- $1,500- The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the undergraduate student pursuing a baccalaureate degree in land surveying from an accredited college or university, or a baccalaureate degree in a related science including at least 24 semester hours of land surveying courses from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation Land Surveyors Licensing Board approved curriculum of an accredited institution. Applicant must be an Illinois resident attending an Illinois school. Deadline is Nov. 14, 2018.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD - $1,000 The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the student pursuing a career in the surveying profession. This scholarship is intended for students attending a Community College pursuing a degree associated with the land surveying profession. Deadline is Nov. 14, 2018.
THE HAGAN SCHOLARSHIP: Open to any senior who completed both Junior and Senior year in an eligible state, achieved a GPA of 3.5 or better, and scored at least 23 on the ACT. Additionally, the student must work 120 hours in the 12 months prior to the start of college. For more information click HERE or see the guidance office. Deadline is November 15, 2018.
