ACORN EQUALITY FUND is a non-profit organization that provides college scholarships to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students and allies in Illinois' downstate counties. Applications are available at acornequalityfund.org. Deadline is September 20, 2019.

THE COLLEGE JUMPSTART SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: The College JumpStart Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition that is open to 10th-12th graders, college students and non-traditional students. The main requirement is that you are committed to going to school and can express your goals for getting a higher education. The first place prize is a $1,000 scholarship to help cover educational expenses. This award can be used at any college or university in the United States. HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION: The Horatio Alger Scholarship program provides financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. The scholarships are given to deserving students each year and range in award value from $6000 to $25000. Eligibility criteria includes: high school graduation in the spring/summer, demonstrated financial need ($55,000 or lower AGI), and United States citizenship. The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 31st class in 2019, the Foundation has provided over 6,150 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $69 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship. THE HAGAN SCHOLARSHIP: Open to any senior who completed both Junior and Senior year in an eligible state, achieved a GPA of 3.5 or better, and scored at least 23 on the ACT. TEACH Outdoors, Inc. NFP is awarding an educational scholarship for the 2020-2021 school year in the amount of $500.00. The scholarship will be awarded directly to a student who is furthering his or her education by attending college, a university or trade school. All applications received will be considered for this award. TEACH Outdoors Executive Board Members/TEACH Outdoors Scholarship Committee Members and the immediate families are not eligible for the scholarship.
